India has a huge cup and our politicians, allowed to capture power with numbers, thought nothing of adding to it. It began with the partition. The advent of Gandhi had cleansed us before that. The woes began adding up fast - language, caste, loan melas, free power, license raj, bureaucracy for sale, premier brands for OBCs, cities on sale, Police brass on the run, corrupt IAS on top, etc. The cup appeared to be bottomless. And then came Rajasthan. It did appear as though the game had reached a checkmate with the very concept that had started it - division.
But now Rajasthan is history and we have the politicians reveling in their power to create a poodle President.
The role model of this country is now expected to be a well trained poodle. Any doubts?
We need a leader who will free us from the tyrany of numbers.
