UNFORTUNATE
by MajorMurugan on Jun 04, 2007 07:48 AM

Another unfortunate incident leading to loss of precious life. Unless the high stress level is reduced by decreasing the workload of the overworked,& understaffed Indian Army, Such incidents will keep on increasing. No amount of Councelling will be enough, until the jawan gets proper leave on time & a good financial security. Its difficult for civilians (our Beaurecrats, Politicians,Policy makers) to understand the problem of the jawan. And just dont bother to address their grievences. The Army is just left to fend for itself 'cause it does not form a vote bank nor it belongs to a particular caste/community or religion. The Army always gets step motherly treatment from all the Govt. One recent example is the refusal of the Govt to have a representative of the Armed Forces in the recently formed commitee to decide the pay & policies of govt employees.
