when ever SP get a chance to rule, its a open secret that crime gets a pat on back by goverence to make money. If you make the crime as industry in UP at the time SP is ruling it will fetch maximum excise and maximum Sales tax. When ever Shri Mulayam is getting to rule he mobilises his machinary to make money for himself and his follwers. During this rule the state becomes capital for crime. Congress has hopelessly not any better in the stage. Historically they ruled for long but now people have written them off and put them aside. BJP was trying to adress the problem under Rajnath and Kalyan Singh's leadership. But the Up politics is very complex. BJP could not last in UP despite being better on this aspect, as there promise to people was Temple and not Admin. Mayawati the BSP leader has 4 strints as CM. Despite a backward tag attached to her, she has earned a repute of being very effective in crubbing anti social activities. But in UP people dont vote for any party to retain governence. BSP gets caught in some stray incidences and loose image. It almost clear that no govt gets a second term to enjoy. The only hope for UP is to keep SP away from rule for little longer.
