I think 6 years is a little too much for him. Considering his background and all the amends he has made after realising his folly. If possesing a weapon could get him 6 yrs after years of trial then we need to get all the goon politians of Bihar and elsewhere who also happen to posses weapons ASAP. Rapists and muderers of whom we read everyday going scott free and roaming the streets and this man who has professional commitments is not even given time to wrap up things not even couple of days.. What kind of reasoning is this. Judiciary system has to apoart from legal reasoning has to apply some common sense reasoning as well.
