It is that in India, the general public prefers to view celebrities as the characters they play in reel life (Munnabhai, oh god have mercy on their stupidity)...rather than who they are in real life (stockpiling arms, drug addicts, perverts, running over homeless people, killing endangered wildlife, funding a thriving underworld, evading taxes by sending money overseas, and many many many other things)
Thank you to the court for proving that while adoring fans may regard their celebrities as immune to human-level ethical and moral standards, our constitution and system of justice believes otherwise.
