The real Issues
by Venugopal Minnal on Aug 02, 2007 12:15 PM

The real issues are really lost by focusing on Sanjat Dutt & Co. I want to raise just five: (i) While the real culpripts are away and enjoying State protection elsewhere why punish the poor servants who would have lost their livelihood if they did not do what their
masters commaded? (ii) What, besides incompetency, corruption, lethergy, and vote politics, keeps the authorities from bringing the real culprits to book? (iii) Where is real justice? Politically powerful, wealthy, and having friends in the Press and other places, who have committed more serious terror activites, could get even the charges framed under less serious Acts but the poor being severely punished. (iv) Why point the activity as reaction to atrocities following Babri Masjit while the truth is the need to follow the order of the master? and (v) Why punish a family, especially a well educated and well behaved person, which preffred to be loyal to the country and not to terrorism?
