I think Madam Sonia will come up with some legislation to save his favorite minister. This will say that president's mandate is necessary before filing a cases against near and dear ones on central cabinet ministers and President as well leaders of ruling political party.
Who will support it? Left for sure, Lalooji for sure, Mayawati behana for sure. Who remains? BJP & Shive Sena !!! Am I kidding thinking that their protests matter nowadays ?? President Mahamahim Pratibha Patil will surely sign this law even before it is tabled in parliament.
And this will law will come into effect from retrospective effect. This will surely give some reprieve to exteemed cabinet minister in question who can then work more for minority & dalit upliftment without any worries of defamation and mud-slinging from politically motivated charges.
I am very much sure that everyone in Union cabinet as well as Left parties will agree with me that these are politically motivated charges done on behalf of some disguntled upper caste majority who failed to secure admissions in IIM / IIT / Goverenment institutes / colleges or failed to secure a decent job. The question of him being poor will be handled when 20-point garibi hatao programme has removed poverty from the political class indeed. But, right now, that guy is class enemy and must be trated like that.
