if you see all the wars with pakistan right from 1947 to kargil.....you can see that pakistani army initially had upper hand......indian army was slow to react and lacks surprise element which is very crucial in wars.....and sino-indian war indian army was consistently inconsistent against maruading chinese army and had left north east ......aftre occupying north east the chinese surprisingly withdrew from north east but held its gains in ladakh.....otherwise we wont be having north east now.......
