I read the interview of Haneef with Aussie cops. He seems to have struggled a lot in his life to support his family in India as well as trying to repay his debts. He seems very principled in paying back his debts (thou financially struggling he is sincere in paying debts regularly even to this BIL).
He is living an oridinary middle class life struggling to lift all his family's status up in the society. It is unfortunate that his simple deeds like trusting his cousin by giving him his SIM card and stying with another for four or five days when he failed in his exam landed him with all this troubles.
All I felt going through the interview is how true his actions were. We all would have done exactly the samethings in our life. I hope he will get out of this soon and resume his life back. I extend all my sympathies to him and his family. - Pavan
