I think you have just seen one Kalam out of the billion people in India. Please make yourself right that there are hundreds and thousands of people much better than kalam, but haven't got a chance to prove their worth. Its just people with money and muscle power that they have come up. We should be thankful for our constitution that doesn't have a strict rule for a president to rule for 2 terms continuously, otherwise you wouldn't have got people like Kalam even now because there would have still been Zail Singhs sitting on the chair....
So lets hail democracy and not autocracy where you want the kalams to stay again and again. Dr. Kalam will be a model for the next generation and people of our land would certainly need greats like him to serve them. So happy humanitarian service Dr. Kalam.
