Need of today is to Join Indian defence services, they r short of skilled manpower. I am an Engineer and Joined Indian Army on Short Service commision for 5 yrs and now work in Multinational overseas. I feel my stint with Army shaped my life in positive way. We should and we can serve Defence services for atleast 5yrs, I think it should be made mandatory. I being a Kashmiri Hindu always wanted to be in ARMY to defeat terrorists, I got atleast some taste of it.
