Also remember, only a small populace of the outsiders is tax-payers. The slums that someone mentioned elsewhere formed by illegal people staying in Maharashtra use facilities but never pay taxes. Same goes for large Bollywood stars that use all facilities of Mumbai & never pay taxes. These are the folks I%u2019m referring to. I%u2019m not pointing towards faithful outsiders who pay the taxes and are otherwise law abiding citizens. These people would always be welcomed with open hands by the localities here.
Speaking of dividing India, this all started from you guys. If you can open your eyes & are honest to accept the facts, you could see each & every South state imposes & asks to promote the localities. Same I True for North & East. Go to Bengal & you wouldn%u2019t be surprised to see Bengalis always insisting to promote localities everywhere. Maharashtrians though progress everywhere lacked to notice this cunning strategy. We should have started doing this long time back along with the folks from other states. It%u2019s now very late & that%u2019s why this all resistance from you guys. Amusing part is you do the same thing back in your state but when Maharashtrians started doing it recently, there was so much hush about it.
To your topic of Mumbai & Maharashtra, it%u2019s an observed fact that there%u2019s big difference in the tax collection in cities & rural parts of a state. Till recent times, that's not true in Maharashtra. Mumbai was, is & will be a part of Maharashtra. No Two thoughts about it.
