There is something fundamentally wrong in Islam. Otherwise, we will not have this amount of terrorism in the world. Whether any religion preaches hate or not (you should remember that religions were created by humans in different points of time in the past under different conditions), it is for the humans to reject ideas which are not suited to modern times. RELIGION SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO INTERFERE WITH THE GOVERNANCE OF A COUNTRY. That is the definition of a SECULAR country, not the definition thrown by some members on this discussion board. We should not have separate laws for different people. There should be UNIFORM CIVIL and CRIMINAL CODE. No Muslim Personal Law Board, no Sharia, no Hindu Succession Act, no wierd Divorce and Inheritance laws. Only one set of DEMOCRATIC AND FAIR SECULAR LAWS for the citizens.
Whether muslims are educated are not, they will never accept this situation. I would like to see more Muslims accepting UNIFORM CODE in this discussion board. I have nothing against muslims as human beings. Many of my friends are muslims, but I do not accept their double standards. They want to live in India and under their own laws blessed by Muslim religious scholars from the middle east which are SEPARATE FROM THE INDIAN SECULAR LAWS.
Everybody, throughout the world, including some moderate muslims, are seeing thru this double standard. Muslims will find it harder for their acceptance by others unless they accept humanism first.
