The new incumbant to the post of President
by srinath s on Jul 20, 2007 09:31 AM

I am reminded of the story of King Bhoja when he tried to occupy the throne. Each time the king stepped on of the 21 steps a statue would come to life and explain one of the great qualities of Vikramaditya and would ask whether King Bhoja equalled Vikramaditya in that quality and the King should proceed to the next step only if the answer is YES to his own consiousness. At last when the Bhoja reaches the last step and listens to the qualities of Vikramaditya, he decides not sit on throne and come down (He feels that he not equal to Vikramaditya). And mind you King Bhoja was one of great Kings with great virtues.

Abdul Kalam is equivalant to Vikramaditya and Rashtrapati Bhavan is the throne. Do we have a King Bhoja anywhere ??.
