There was a report on NPR today that US is closely watching the situation in Pakistan as more suicide bombings are happening everyday. The report from US state department on Pakistan is that even the entire Pakistani army may not be enough to suppress the revolt against Musharaff that is brewing in Pakistan. After the Lal Masjid episode, more and more extremist and militant islamists are openly against Musharaff. The moderates (supposedly) are although higher in number, are not supportine of Musharaff either.
I think that if Musharaff does not take things in control soon, NWFP will be in a civil war.
