Can any Muslim brother here please answer this. Would you marry your 9 year old daughter to a 53 years old man?
I got stupid answers like I would kill my girl child .. First of all, let me clarify. I am not a Hindu or a Christain or a Jew or a Muslim .. My point was that Muslims blindly follow what their prophet has said .. for them the life of their prophet is an example to live by .. But if it is like that, then why wouldnt you marry your 9 yr old daughter to a 53 year old man .. thats what your prophet did .. I was seeing some video on youtube where is a guy is saying that in the old Arab days this was OK .. as soon a girl reaches puberity, she was allowed to marry .. since it was OK in the old Arab days, it was OK for the prophet .. I have two points here 1. First of all this guy is prophet. He is supposed to set an example .. and this is the example he is trying to set .. marry and have sex with a child old enough to be your grand daughter? 2. Lets assume that since it was the custom in olden days, the prophet also did that and it was OK at that time .. In that case, why dont Muslims undertsand that there ar elot of other things that were OK in olden days and we cannot and should not apply in this age .. What double standards ..
