The deal can come through only when US retreat to the line of their limitations. It can come only when thy honour the commitment US Prez made to India on Indian soil. Such retreat is real redemption, if they resort to clever use of words which are perceived as hollow by discerning Indians, it would not be redeeming US democracy. The no holds barred pursuit of interests has made ordinary American citizens unsafe in all those lands where such pursuits were made. Consistent adherence to American values is not mere Wilsonian idealism, as many interlocutors are wont to believe, but bedrock of civil conduct to create terror-free relations.
