correct, islamic jihad first attacked christian europe 7-12th century AD and destoyed spain, france, byzantiuum - holy roman empire, romania, yugoslavia, hungary. crusades were retaliation for jihad.
anyway but jihad & counter crusades unfortunately resulted in large loss of life, thus its better to keep religion as a personel affair.
