Newspapers in Bangalore today have mentioned his friends saying that he was too much into islamic studies. What is the next logical step for someone who is so deeply involved in islam? Jihad.. so that is the path haneef took. I was reading an article in The Week sometime back about the suicide bomber in London. One clear fact which stands out is just before he became a jihadi, he also showed a lot of interest in islamic studies. So there is a pattern here.
Just see how the Lal Masjid events are turning out to be? This was supposed to be a Madrasa, a school. What are the students doing there with AK 47 and other weapons? What kind of things do they teach in a madrasa? Terrorism.
So dont feel sorry for people like haneef. Feel sorry for the common citizen of this country who has the misfortune of living with such terrorists.
