Restore Preventive Inspections immediately!
by Galaxy Star on Jul 21, 2007 04:45 PM

Mumbai cannot tackle the situation unless change of attitude is brought about on one side by repeated insistence and instantaneous heavy penalties and severe punishments without any court case on the other!
During olden days the authorities did undertake preventive actions besides the corrective actions. One of the primary preventive actions is elaborate arrangements for frequent inspections at various levels of the fields concerned! As a matter of fact, Inspection was the foremost action detailed by Govt., in olden days insisting upon them always! If inspection is carried out at different levels by the competent officers and staff, necessary actions can be taken prior to any type of failures totally avoiding any untoward accidents or failures assuring Bombayites of comfortable living!
Due to perhaps improved I.Q. such old preventive measures have been stopped by the top management, perhaps, by the increased M.B.A.s and other modern management experts resulting in total collapse of the system! The reason for such stoppage may be due to either total ignorance or inadequate knowledge about the system of the inspecting officer or staff, due to which they avoid such inspection which might expose their ignorance or inadequate knowledge of the working of the system before their subordinates, placing them under awful embarrassment!
Administration should immediately restore such inspections by every department of administration, technical, Railways, B.M.C., M.M.R.D.A., Electricity
