good lesson from the british
by Ashok and Anita on Jul 02, 2007 06:22 PM

The british taught us a lesson which todays politicians have learnt very well. The British by confurring titles of Nawab,Rai Bahadur,Zamindar,Raja etc. made these people control the people in their region. These title holders very loyal to the british crown. They ruled us for 300 years a mere handful of them.Smart. The politicians to-day are doing the same and appointing their people to prime posts who are not qualified to do anything especially good for the people and they have the power and are wealthy while the people remain deprived. The North East is a beautiful region with a rich culture and simple people and it is sad that they are reduced to this by sheer greed. They have been exploited and continue to be so. Govt.only doing lip service.
No real development has happened and business is by non-assamese because these simple people do not know the crooked ways yet.
