I agree with you Satya that Mohammad could not have converted whole arabia just by a sword. I mean its just absurd to think that anyone can do that...Infact he was driven out of Mecca by the idol worshippers. So it was a long struggle. It is my perception that Buddha was one of the messengers of God as he also preached about One God.
