WHAT ELSE IS NEW ABOUT THE ARTICLE
by Satish Bhardwaj on Feb 07, 2007 02:50 AM

India has always been mainstream. People did not realise it. Perhaps they still do not realise it. It was centuries ago that Hindu numeral system beat the Roman nummeral system. Hindu words like Pundit, Guru, Karma and many other words have been used universaly by English Speaking people. There was a sit com in USA where the name of the girl was Dharma. Chandra has been used as a name by many world wide Girls. Why the name of daughter of this deceased Australian Dare Devil is Bindi. India has been influencing the western world. Only now are people realising it. In New York City there is a life size statute of Mahatma Ghandhi on a street. And on another street the name of Nehru is stamped along with the names of other world leaders.
