For heaven sake why do we always have to go back to our sectarian identities, these sentiments have already been exploited to the hilt by colonial powers. When someone is killed in a riot it is a great loss for that family irrespective of the sectarian identity, when a woman is raped in a riot it is humiliatiing again irrespective of her sectarian identity. Like Amartya Sen says Hindu, Muslim, Brahmin, Shudra, Shia and Sunni all are mere identities that we so strongly associate, this is taken advantage off by the wiser colonial powers. The fact of the matter is WE be it Kurds, Shia, Sunnis in Iraq, Baloch, Sindhis, Punjabis in Pakistan, Muslims,Hindus SC/ST/OBC are all POOR PEOPLE OF POOR COUNTRIES, that is the one common identity that we should talk of!! well ask me how, ressurrect institutions like NAM!! For in this world there are only two types of countries and people--> RICH and POOR all other identities are very strictly personal!!So again it is upto us whether to continue to fight on these personal identities like fools and play into the hands of colonial powers....OR show some BRAINS and BRAWNS to fight back!!
