Syed Salauddin
by Amaan on Jan 09, 2007 07:32 PM

This was a very one sided interview and I understand the reason for that. It must have taken place at Hizbul Headquarters or hideout where the interviewer is always scared of reaching a fate similar to Daniel Pearl. So the questions asked were leading and providing fuel to propaganda that Hizbul desires. The interviewer could not have asked questions like: 1) Fate of chinese occupied Kashmir 2) living conditions of People in POK (so called Azad KAshmir). How have those people who are independent from India not been able to achieve the quality of life that Hizbul and co. promise to Indian Kashmiris 30 He talks about hindu kasmiri joining them, what about the thousands of Kashmiri Pandits who have been displaced by them?
Also Mr. Salauddin has changed his stance against US and West since9/11 like Mr. Musharraf who stopped supporting Taliban fearing annhilation. I would call this interview incomplete since half of the questions were not asked because of fear for the interviewers life.
