What difference does it make?
by Raghuvir Prabhuchimulkar on Feb 28, 2007 12:05 AM

In our democracy, individual views do not count. The collective view is supreme. The fact is also that we, the common citizens of India, run on our own steam! It is immaterial whether SAD wins or Congress does (BJP may claim some existence also). Whoever is the Government would need to reconcile to the fact that the Citizens of India run the economy by paying taxes, investing out of the hard earned money that they make often without thinking of the family or Indian Culture or Heritage but driven by the sheer need to secure one's life and family. The disconnect between the Indian Citizen and the Government needs to be addressed but is beyond the political establishment and frankly will not make a difference. If the economy booms, its not due to Govt. policies but due to the sheer hard work and innovation of the Indian Citizen
