no state government should be dismissed
by on Feb 18, 2007 08:24 PM

Centre should not have the authority to dismiss any elected state governments. If UP govt should be dismissed on issue of law and order, why didnt we dismiss gujarat govt during the riots, but instead we dismissed tamil nadu govt not so long ago - what violence has tamil nadu seen. Its clear that, this authority has always been abused by the central govt. If the UP govt has lost majority it should be proved on the floor of the house. We should move towards a more federal structure with more powers with the states and abolish absolute authority of the centre
