Nowhere in the world we find a stupid democracy like ours. Of the voting population (may be 70% of 1 billion Indians)about 35 to 50% vote and a party gets only 30 to 35% of the votes and that party rules at the centre or state or local bodies. So a ruling party in majority of the states are a small part of the opposition itself because more percentage of combined votes are agianst it and to cling on to the seat any type of statements/reforms/schemes are made without the will of the majority and that is why we have confusion all over the country. It is high time we have national referendum/state referendum for particular pathway and then each and every state or any ruling party should be made to follow that path and then there will be progress of the state/country. So within that frame work, all parties should work and under such circumstances if majority vote party fails then the next in that popular vote party should be given the task to carry out the action and UNDER SUCH CIRCUMSTANCES THERE WILL NO QUESTION OF BRINGING DOWN THE GOVERNMENTS BUT ALL STATE GOVERNMENTS WILL REMAIN FOR FIXED TENURE WITH NEW FACES IN THE MINISTRY BASED ON POPULAR VOTES. So we will be free from all types of statements and controversies of president's rule. THERE WILL BE ENOUGH TIME FOR PROGRESSIVE THINKING BECAUSE THERE WILL BE NO BANDHS NOW AND THEN CAUSING TENSION TO LAW ABIDING CITIZENS. First of all we should have national/state referendum because fore running parties are getting (now and future too) only 30 to 35% of the 40 to 50% votes polled and what do you call it a democracy or a new term has to be used when a miniscule (15%to 20% vote)of the population (let it be any party) rules the majority and the decisions are taken against the majority of the people living in that state province or the whole country as such when it is at the centre. The problem starts here and thus the progress of the country is hampered and street fights are common.
