It was indeed a good reseach by gautier abt the destruction of temples by auranzeb but he has failed to communicate through his article what caused such action. What instigated auranzeb to take such step.If it was simply to eradicate hinduism then it could have been done i few years. Auranzeb ruled india for 36 yrs and more and it was too long a time to wipe out an entire community. History must never be looke d from one side you have to tell the story of both side and the truth that is hidden in the article is that auranzeb was the most pious mughal ruler who refuse to take a single paisa from the state tresaury for himself . He would make caps and write quran and sell them. the money he got from that he use to live on that. How many historian has come forward to say that there are several temples in south that auranzeb himself build. He denounced alchohol and drugs which was frequent among the rulers. Under him women were the safe and no man could cast an evil eye on them.ALL the wars and execution that took place were a political fight and it was for power. Whether it be the sikh guru or shivaji it was a political war and a war for power it sholud never be looke as a communal war at all. Under auranzeb there were several hindu warriors at greater ranks who fought for their masters. I WOULD RECOMMEND A BOOK BY JADUNATH SARKAR ABT AURANZEB. READ B4 WE DRAW CONCLUSION.
