Islam is a religion which means PEACE. The practice we see is very unfortunately steeped in ignorance because most muslim households are mired in utter poverty. Education, and good teaching of the Holy Books with a proper understanding will go a very long way in removing the misunderstandings I have sadly read in these pages. Fatwa's from the Islamic seminaries must also keep in mind the situation prevailing in the country, and ust not disturb communal harmony. Let us move forward, not backward.
