I completely agree that all of us should forget the past and move forward including but not limited to the following facts of history -
1. Israel has been created and would prefer to live in peace. Let us forget the past and let Israel live in peace on their land and let palestinians have their sovreign nation on lands they have 2. Babri masjid has been demolished. Isn't that past too. Let us move on, there exists a temple there. Let us construct a really grand one and move on (what else could erase the memory/thought of a mosque for future generations place than a grnad temple there. 3. Let us never ever talk about crusades. Of course thats soooooooo old and obviously at least one of the parties to thhe crusade does not appear to be mature enough to understand it and take it in their stride.
Shall i say more....? I am sure my secular, educated (not degrees but tin the true sense of the word), mature friends can find many more examples of instances where the best response to anything uncomfortable is to "deny" it or sweep it out of sight rather than accept it (of course that cant be done, as Islam is the most peaceful religion) or confront it (that cant be done either because facts, however much distorted still speak up).
