Aurangazeb
by CG NAIR on Mar 20, 2007 07:45 PM

Dear Moderator: This discussion board has degenrated into an acrimonous argument on the merits and demerits of various religions and it is time to take out this from the Site. Dear Mike, Rafiuddin, Vada Pav and An Indian: We are all citizens of a great Country and equality before law is guaranteed by our Constitution. I believe that every citizen has equal rights (nothing more, nothing less) irrespective of Caste, Creed, Colour or Religion. I am an Athiest (neither mad nor RSS goon as mentioned by somebody) and do not believe in the dogmas of any Religion. During my Student days, I was an active member of SFI and later supporter of CPI (M) (I am not an active party worker now) and as such secularism is a way of life for me rather than a means for exploitation of some section of the population for narrow gains. We should all spend our energy for the upliftment of the downtrodden rather than spending time in futile arguments. Quality education for all is the need of the hour. This only will help in eradication of poverty among millions of inhabitants of this Country. Best of luck to all.
