A couple of points

The French's assisting Nazis or the Swiss' neutrality in WW-II is no comparison to the much contrived facts in Indian history.
The first point I feel- the author has not brought out any unknown facts. He has merely reinforced a few of them.
The author's point of moderate and modern Muslim leaders was good and we need such ones in every religion- Christian, Muslim, Sikh, Hindu as well.
When religion has come out the personal spheres of people's lives into a social order, every religion has to conform to modern human notions . And that means- the Hindu repenting for the tarnished caste structure; the Muslim accepting the religious atrocities; the Christian the overwhelming penetration into many a culture, tribe in the world...
