Dams...
by Shiv Desmukh on Feb 14, 2007 03:51 AM

Even if KTK were to build 10 new dams along Cauvery and ensure that not a single TMC flows into TN, I am sure that all the seismic pressure caused by the huge amounts of water will ineveitably cause one hell of a shake which will cause a breach in all these dams built so carefully, needless to say the destruction it causes. So it is not wise to go againt the rules of nature. Sharing resources and distress is the only solution. Its not just TN & KTK. Its not just India. Globally there is going to be a paucity of all natural resources as a result of all the uninhibited exploitation over years. So states, and provinces and countries all have to share what ever resources that are available at hand if they are to co-exist in harmony going forward.
