The main cause for any kind of fight is basically opposing other's ideas.If this kinda fighting continues, believe me no one can come to a just solution.If you go for industrialization, the farmers and their supporters cry foul.If you go for agricultural developments, then industries feels disparaged.
What we, not only in bengal but the whole of india need is a fixed balance between both of these.Agriculture is important as it secures food sufficiecy, but industrialization is also equally important because real economic growth and development cannot be realized without it. What we need is education, i.e. to tell people that both are important and none should be sacrificed. What we don't need is such kinda blaming which has happened in the above posts.This blaming thing only makes us fight and believe me no one is gonna have a common solution unless this stops because no one will ever want his or her ego to get hurt. So, until and unless we change ourselves and respect others ideas, till then this kinda fighting over land or for that matter any kinda thing will never stop.
