I am not sure what percent of people speak Tulu in Mangalore. If it is deemed that Tulu is the majority language and should you decide to live in Mangalore for the rest of your life, then LEARN TULU. BTW, Mangaloreans also speak the best and the purest form of Kannada !! That shows their loyalty to Kannada..
