2000 years ago there was no Tamilnadu. It was all Kannadigas and Andhrites in that part. The Tamilians lived in Ceylon and other Islands south of Ceylon and near Singapore. They invaded South India and captured minor provinces near Nagercoil, Madurai, Tanjore and Chennai. The Kannadigas and Teluguites were driven to the North due to the oppression of Tamilians. This is well documented in the Dravidian Invasion Theory and published by Anna University.
