I am not sure if you know about what Kamaraj and M G R had done in Tamil Nadu.
How Urs period is the golden period in Karnataka, Kamaraj's rule was the golden period in Tamil Nadu. Both were great thinkers beyong silly thoughts and they prescribed equality of the rich and poor to get education. Let us praise each other and say how good WE ARE. If I were the CM of the state on either side, I would have sat down and gone down to the drawing board to have an excellent irrigation system where the water spreads out to multiple areas and have the cultivation based on drip system which shall give more land with the current supply of water..
