RE:Lemme chip in
by Anand K N on Feb 08, 2007 11:36 PM

Mr.Rock,
Your comments are in poort taste. I read you are a northie from your previous comment. 1) What is a trivial issue? Water is NOT a common natural resource. It is very precious for everyone and we are protesting the injustice. In a democracy everyone has the right to protest. Afterall, it was peaceful and no one was hurt. Just becoz there are a million other issues doesnt mean this is not important.
2). We dont need you client's opinion on how to behave. assuming he was a white guy, you should have asked him about their 'barbaric' behaviour, bombing innocent people in Iraq to take revenge on one man. The list is endless about the brutal and barbaric behaviour of the white man. Do you even know the meaning of barbaric? Yes, India has problems but that doesnt mean you have to be ashamed of it in front of a foreigner. Bad roads are not in Blore alone. Go to your own town in the North and i Can assure you, you will have even more horrible roads and very rude drivers. Be grateful you are in Blore.
3)You are so ill informed about what is happening in K'taka. Couldnt balme you, you read the Toilet paper of India (TI). They are fit to give you Page 3 info, nothing more than that. Schools that were given permission to teach in Kannada medium had violated the law and started teaching in English. They were getting exhorbitant fees from students and also getting aid and benefits from the Govt. The Govt is not againts teaching English but against schools violating the norms. Did the gOvt have any problems with other schools like the ones that have been teaching in english medium with valid permits? For once the Govt did its job and pulled up the violators. Even when the govt does its job(for a change) you complain and criticize becoz you are ill informed. Just becoz the stupid news media distorts the news, which they do every day, doesnt make it the truth. Please understand the issue before you start your rambling. If you dont have the time to read and understand the issue indepth, dont comment about it.
4) What is wrong in raising issues in favour of the local language? As for political mileage, everything in India is made into a political drama. The best dramas are of course enacted in your Northie cities. Do we need to elaborate on that?!
5 &6). What do you know about being 'unfiendly' to neighbours? We can block whatever channels we want. Is there a law that states we cant. That is a very benign way of protest. What happened to your Bihari brothers when they were working in Assam? 60 people were hacked to death for earning their livilehood. Now, Assam is an unfiendly state. Not K'takaka for blocking a few channels. You are not gonna die if you dont watch some movies or episodes for a few days. FYI, Chennai also has blocked Kannada channels in the past. Do your homework before you yap.
You have no idea about movies. We can also argue about the n number of movies in TAmil that are remakes of Telugu movies and some Kannada movies. To give an example, Chandramukhi a superhit of Rajini is a remake of the Kannada hit Aapthamitra. Remakes are made in all lang, even your own Hindi movies have remakes from Southie movies. Somtimes the vice versa holds true. What is wrong in making remakes? If something is good instead of restricting the audience that enjoys it, you are making sure more people enjoy it.
7). Again, blocking channels is a way of protest. That is not animosity to the people. Animosity is what the ULFA showed to your Bihari borthers. If chennai is go great please go there. There are so many software co (assuming you are from a software co)in Chennai. We in Blore wont miss you. Talent is plentily available in India. You are not indispensible.
8) What international pressure are you talking of? Every city has its problems. What job reasons? If you cant tolerate B'lore nobody is forcing you to be here. You can always find a job in Chennai, H'bad. You have the audacity to talk about B'lore but have no guts to develop your nothie cities. Your politicians make your life miserable and you have the nerve to comment about a democratic protest in the form of blocking channels in Blore. You reek of double standards.
9) Ok, granted that politics is played at a very low and petty level. But your Northie land is not free of this. In fact more tamasha happens in your northie belt. Everyone knows that the hotel incident was a political drama with the opposition pulling the strings. Remember the episode when Laloo's daughter was getting married, Laloo's goons went on a rampage and broke down the Tata showroom and took away all the cars. Tata had to finally shut the showroom. This clearly had no opposition hand. I am not saying that politicians here in Blore are great. They are all the same wherever you go. But please be more mindful of what you say and dont bash Blore which is feeding you and your family.
10). Thanks for patiently enduring everything for the sake of your job. Try to make Blore a better place to live in.
I appreciate you saying Jai K'taka rajya and hope it is genuine and a sarcastic one.
