Cauvery award
by niki surabi on Feb 06, 2007 02:09 PM

I wont forget the agitation that was held the last time the Cauvery issue was on boil in Bangalore. I was travelling with my friend who was a kannadiga but had just got transferred from Chennai to Bangalore. He was driving his car with the T.N. registration as he was yet to get his N.O.C. We were stopped enroute & asked to get down. Even before we could get down, the wind shied was smashed & severe damage caused to the vehicle. To add to his misery, having stayed in Chennai for over 6 years, before pleading in Kannadas, he uttered a tamil word.
That made matters even worse.
He said in retospect he probably deserved what he got. For, 20 years ago during his student days, there was an agitation & he had joined the fun & bashed up some innocent fellow's car. He said that he could not even remember what the issue was.
So guys, it is easy to sit in the comfort of your house or office & shoot of mails. But be careful because life is a great leveller. You get back in kind & mostly with interest all that you do unto others.
