The iyengars of Mysore may choose to call themselves Kannadigas, just like the VeeraShaivas who don't want to be called Hindus. But that doesnot change history of where they originally came from and what their mother tongue is. Instead of acting as a bridge between two communities don't try to play one against the other Mr. Iyengar! Also, Ramesh Arvind has himself claimed to be a Tamil-speaking (read mothertongue)citizen of Karnataka state. Same with Ravichandran and same with Rajasekharan (Nijalingappa's Son-IL). Bottom line is Tamil & Kannadigas -These two communities are like brothers, difficult to tear them apart however hard the Bangarappas and Vatal Nagarajs attempt!
