Ka is right in cauvery issue
by SUBRAMANIAN E on Sep 24, 2008 09:13 AM

I read your article. it is very good.
Actually i am a tamilan from southern tamil nadu.
there is no river like cauvery in our place.
So we work hard to do agricultural activities.
In olden days, due to lack of technology no dams constructed acroos cauvery river in karantaka. So plenty of water is avilable in cavery basin. So farmers form cavery basin of TN worked less and become lazy.
there is no pond, lake, dam is constructed.
Now due to technology development, dams are constructed across cavery river in karantaka.Ka invested crores of money in dams. they want the benfit of it. Ka releasing ENOUGH water to TN. but TN famers are not efficienly using the water. the water is wasted. there is no dam, lake to store it.
Since they are lazy(in olden tamil poems, about TN cauvery basin famers not bending the body to stop/open the water in small canel. they are that much lazy people)
they are not effieciently using the water and blaming KA.
As a human being, cauvery is common to TN &KA.
Ka should construct more dams and increase the agricultural land.
TN has to construct more lakes to store water instead of blaming KA.
KA should release only excess water to TN after KA use.
TN(cauvery basin) is simply wasting water since they are lazy.
For more clarfictaion, see TN cavery basin maps , there is no water storage body like lakes....
