Cauvery
by hansoge jayatheertha badri on Feb 07, 2007 01:04 AM

From where can w give this much of water to TN?192TmcFt to be measured at BiliGundlu(as against to 205tmcFt was measured at Mettur dam-Interim report) is nothing but OLD WINE in NEW BOTTLE.even in Interim report at Biligundlu water measured was 190tmcFt.Bangalore,Mysore gets cauvery water for drinking purpose. It is growing population in Bangalore.Mandya,Mysore,Chamarajanagar needs cauvery water for irrigation purpose. Both for drinking/irrigation 270tmcFt is insufficient for Karnataka State. Also Cauvery Basin TN farmers can grow both SAMBA,KURUVAI crops. But Karnataka formers have to forget their2n Crop.Is it not a injustice for karnataka? Why did TN is not taking on amount of cauvery water goes into sea?Cont they not utilise the same by constructing small check dam across River Cauvery in Ramnad District?Tn-Politician plz stop killing karnataka formers, they too are humanbeing like u.Dont forget Karnataka had released KRISHNA water for CHENNAI CITY DRINKING PURPOSE in the past,on the contrary u had objected cauvery Drinking water project for Bangalore.Plz think Big.
