True the seats have decreased. No one can deny that there has been a dent left by the desertion of its prominent members. But what is significant is the fact that the Sena was written off by the political pundits. It was predicted that the Sena would be washed out in these elections. In a scenario where the Sena was coping with the desertion and where the BJP was reeling under the loss of its most powerful icon, this performance in the elections is most definately par excellence.
