As our great Mahatma Gandhi put it, "Religion is personal". Each person has the freedom to choose his/her own form of God (Or formless) to come out of his/her problems and lead a happy life.
Can we not understand this basic principle? Or Is it that we do not want to understand this principle? If we do not understand this basic principle, then we are all mentally retarded people. That leaves us with the other option, that we do not want to understand this principle, since there is an inherent discontentment in everyone, and religion is the most easy trigger to fuel the frenzy.
The present set-up in our country be it politicial, legal, cultural, religious cannot and will not help our country men to come out of this inherent disease.
A different approach is definitely called for. The approch is one has to feel connected with another to truly cause no harm for the other person. This feeling of connectedness is what is required at this moment to put an end to this chronic religious battles.
How do we feel connected with another person? The answer is one has to become completely enlightened like Buddha or Ramana or Ramakrishna Paramahamsa or Jesus Christ and so on...
There needs to be fundemental shift in our consciousness for us to experience this state of oneness.
