Lawyers may disgree but it is motive that helps identify who the killer is ! Mussaraf does not have a tangible motive for having Ms Bhutto killed . Having caved in to US pressure and having agreed to hold a 'free and fair' elections , Ms Bhutto would have been the best choice . Drunk or sober, Mussaraf was aware of the fact that the opposition would win the election. Ms Bhutto was a better option for him than Navaz Sharif ever would be . Then why get her killed? The same cannot be said of rogue elements within the Pakistani establishment who were probably aware of the fact that Benazir would in the long run cut to size the military and their power base.
