Complete gibberish ... full of opinions and hash theories. I am keen to hear B Raman and such other enlightened analysts on this. Certainly, BENAZIR is NOT incomparabale ... may be within Pakistan, but not otherwise. She fuelled anti-Indian sentiments in POK ... you must have heard her speech in POK, shouting Azadi. She sounded like one of those maniacs. Just becoz she died in tragic circumstances does NOT make her either a saint or one that needs to be made virtuous. Sins have to be paid for, sometimes in the most cruel manner and this is possibly one such instance.
Kemal Ataturk fashioned Turkey several decades ago and I am yet to find one moderate Islamic state anywhere in the world today. Moderation in practice of Islam is unheard of, at least not in the last decade. And Pakistan will never be a moderate state, not in the next 100 years. Born of violence and lived through 60 years of violence, they see only violence everywhere. Sad state of affairs.
