Sikh or Hindu militant

That's what sikhs have always been saying...."If a sikh takes upto arms to defend his faith he is labelled as Sikh terrorist else sikhs are called as hindus.Why don't they call them as Hindu terrorist if sikhs and hindus are same".
When we revolt we are Sikhs when we remain silent we are Hindus
