If they have any genuine grievance they can resort to more peaceful methods of protest like holding placards before the church - but even that should not be done during the Christmas season.
Even I feel provoked by the kind of bigotry & self-righteousness preached by religious heads of some of the faiths but that cant be a reason to indulge in violence.
According to me polytheism and individual (not mass) worship are among the greatest benefits offered by Hinduism - polytheism teaches us that we can see God in what form we like and individual worship makes religion a process of realization and not something that we learn from an idiot who preaches that anything alien to the faith is automatically bad and anyone who does not follow their faith is a heathen / infidel / pagan etc...
