The families should inquire. Most of the States in US pay victims of crime up to $ 50,000. for injuries suffered as a result of crime ,plus $5,000 for burial expenses. Though this amount cannot possibly replace the two precious human lives lost,it may lessen unforeseen financial hardships caused to the family members.
